Computer and IT Syllabus for UPSSSC Cane Supervisor

The computer section carries 15 marks, but it can become a scoring area for candidates who prepare basic digital concepts properly. The syllabus does not demand advanced programming knowledge. It is focused on practical computer awareness and new technology concepts.

The topics include history, introduction and application of computer and information technology, internet, World Wide Web, hardware and software, input and output devices, internet protocols, IP address, IT gadgets and their use, email creation and operation, printer, tablet and mobile operation.

The syllabus also includes important elements of MS Word and MS Excel, operating system, social networking, e-governance, digital financial tools, future skills, cyber security and current technological developments such as artificial intelligence, big data processing, deep learning, machine learning and Internet of Things.

Uttar Pradesh GK Syllabus

The third part of the paper will test general information related to Uttar Pradesh. This section carries 20 questions for 20 marks, making it important for rank improvement.

Questions may be asked from Uttar Pradesh’s history, culture, art, architecture, festivals, folk dance, literature, regional languages, heritage, social customs, tourism, geographical landscape, environment, natural resources, climate, soil, forests, wildlife, mines and minerals.

The section also includes economy, agriculture, industry, business, employment, polity, administration and current events related to Uttar Pradesh. Candidates should focus on state-specific facts rather than general national GK alone.

Selection Process and Shortlisting

The UPSSSC Cane Supervisor Main Examination will not be open to every applicant automatically. Candidates will be shortlisted on the basis of their PET 2025 normalised score.

The notification states that all candidates within 15 times the total advertised posts may be included for the written examination, depending on category-wise conditions and other rules. Therefore, candidates must keep their PET score, category status, eligibility documents and application details aligned with the official requirements.

The final merit will be based on the written examination, subject to document verification and the commission’s eligibility checks. Candidates giving incorrect or unverifiable information may be disqualified at any stage.

Preparation Strategy for UPSSSC Cane Supervisor Exam

Candidates should begin preparation from the exam pattern because the paper has a clear weight distribution. Agriculture-related topics carry the highest marks, so preparation should not be limited to general agriculture terms.

Crop science, soil conservation and agriculture economics should be revised with short notes. Candidates should also prepare factual areas such as fertilisers, plant nutrients, crop diseases, irrigation, watershed management, MSP, schemes and animal husbandry diseases.

For the computer section, candidates should revise basic terms, email, internet, MS Word, MS Excel, cyber security, e-governance and digital payments. For Uttar Pradesh GK, preparation should include geography, economy, culture, tourism, agriculture, state administration and recent state-level current affairs.
