SSC JSA LDC Eligibility Criteria 2026
The examination is meant exclusively for eligible departmental candidates working in participating services and cadres.
Most participating departments require candidates to:
- Have passed Class 12 or an equivalent qualification.
- Be serving in Level-1 posts or equivalent Group ‘C’ positions.
- Possess a minimum of three years of regular service.
- Meet the age conditions prescribed by their respective cadre controlling authorities.
For several departments, the upper age limit is 45 years, while Scheduled Caste and Scheduled Tribe candidates may receive age relaxation up to 50 years as per the rules.

SSC JSA LDC Recruitment 2026 Selection Process
The SSC JSA LDC Selection Process consists of three stages.
Part-I: Written Examination and Computer-Based Test
The first stage carries a total of 200 marks.

The Computer-Based Examination contains objective-type multiple-choice questions. A negative marking of 0.25 marks will be applied for every incorrect answer.
Part-II: Evaluation of Service Records
Candidates who qualify the written stages will undergo evaluation of Annual Performance Appraisal Reports (APARs).
This stage carries 60 marks and will be added to the examination score for final merit preparation.
