Eligibility Criteria
For the posts of Review Officer, Assistant Review Officer and Computer Assistant, candidates must have a Bachelor’s Degree from a university established by law in India or an equivalent qualification.
Along with the degree, candidates must also have a Diploma/Degree in Computer Science from a recognised institution or university. Candidates with an O Level certificate from NIELIT/DOEACC or a CCC certificate in Computer Science from a recognised institute are also eligible.
The notification further requires knowledge of data entry, word processing and computer operation. Candidates must also have a minimum typing speed of 25 words per minute in English typing on computer.
Age Limit
For Review Officer and Assistant Review Officer, the candidate must be at least 21 years old and not more than 35 years old as on July 1, 2026. The candidate should not have been born before July 2, 1991, and not after July 1, 2005.
For Computer Assistant, the minimum age is 18 years, and the maximum age is 35 years as on July 1, 2026. Candidates applying for this post should not have been born before July 2, 1991, and not after July 1, 2008.
Age relaxation is applicable for eligible candidates of Uttar Pradesh as per the rules mentioned in the official advertisement.

Selection Process
The Allahabad High Court RO ARO Selection Process 2026 will be conducted in three stages. Stage-I will be a preliminary examination in OMR-based pen-and-paper mode. It will carry 200 marks and include 200 multiple-choice questions. The duration will be 3 hours, and there will be no negative marking.
Stage-II will be the mains examination in conventional pen-and-paper mode. It will be subjective in nature and carry 150 marks. Candidates will be tested through essay writing, precis writing, translation from English to Hindi, translation from Hindi to English and English comprehension.
Stage-III will be a Computer Knowledge Test in CBT mode. It will carry 50 marks and will have a duration of 20 minutes. Candidates will be required to reproduce a text of approximately 500 words in English on computer. The minimum qualifying marks for this stage are 25 out of 50.
