DSSSB Eligibility Criteria 2026
For DSSSB Recruitment 2026, candidates must be citizens of India and must meet the age limit, educational qualification and experience conditions prescribed for the post they are applying for. The crucial date for determining eligibility, including age and educational qualification, is July 15, 2026.
For Junior Scientific Assistant posts in the Forensic Science Laboratory, most posts require a relevant Master’s degree in science, forensic science, computer science, psychology, criminology, biotechnology or related disciplines, depending on the post. Several Junior Scientific Assistant posts carry a pay scale of ₹29,200–92,300 under Pay Level 5, with an age limit generally between 18 and 27 years.
For teaching posts, eligibility varies by subject and post. Domestic Science Teacher requires a Bachelor’s degree in Domestic Science/Home Science along with B.Ed with Domestic Science/Home Science as a teaching subject, while TGT Special Education Teacher requires graduation and B.Ed Special Education or equivalent special education qualifications listed in the advertisement.
Application Fee For DSSSB Recruitment 2026
The application fee for DSSSB Recruitment 2026 is ₹100. However, women candidates, SC candidates, ST candidates, PwBD candidates and eligible Ex-Servicemen are exempted from paying the application fee.
Candidates who are required to pay the fee must pay it only through SBI e-pay. DSSSB has clearly stated that any other mode of payment will not be accepted or considered. Candidates should also note that the fee once paid through an incorrect mode may stand forfeited.
How To Apply Online For DSSSB Recruitment 2026
Candidates must submit the DSSSB online application form through the official DSSSB application portal. The Board has said that only online applications will be accepted, and applications sent by post, hand or email will be rejected.
To apply, candidates should first complete one-time registration on the DSSSB portal. After registration, they can log in with the generated user ID and password, select the relevant postcode, fill in the application form, upload the required details and submit the application fee, if applicable.
Applicants are advised not to wait until the last date, as heavy traffic near the deadline may create login or submission issues. DSSSB has also stated that after final submission, no request for correction, modification or change of category will be entertained.
DSSSB Selection Process And Exam Pattern
The selection will be based on the examination scheme prescribed by DSSSB for the concerned post. For technical and teaching posts such as post codes 41/26, 42/26, 43/26 and 44/26, the One Tier Technical/Teaching exam will be conducted for 200 marks.
The exam will have Section A and Section B. Section A will include General Awareness, General Intelligence and Reasoning Ability, Arithmetical and Numerical Ability, Hindi Language and Comprehension, and English Language and Comprehension. Section B will include subject-specific questions, including teaching methodology or B.Ed-related questions where applicable.
The duration of the exam will be 2 hours, with 200 questions for 200 marks. DSSSB has also stated that minimum qualifying marks for One Tier Technical/Teaching posts will apply to the domain-specific Section B and cumulative marks, while final merit will be prepared using combined marks of both sections.
