BSNL JTO Vacancy 2026
BSNL has announced 100 vacancies for the post of Junior Telecom Officer Telecom. The vacancies are distributed circle-wise and category-wise. Candidates will be required to give circle preferences while applying online.
The highest number of vacancies has been notified for Karnataka circle, followed by Maharashtra, Kerala and Madhya Pradesh. Candidates must note that once a circle is allotted, they will have to serve in the allotted BSNL circle as per the transfer policy.
Circle-wise total vacancies include A&N 1, Assam 2, Kolkata TD 2, Chennai TD 5, Chhattisgarh 3, Gujarat 1, Haryana 1, JK 1, Karnataka 26, Kerala 15, MP 10, MH 16, NE-II 3, Odisha 6, Rajasthan 1, Sikkim 1, Tamil Nadu 1, Telangana 2, Uttarakhand 1 and UP West 1.
BSNL JTO Eligibility Criteria 2026
Candidates applying for the BSNL JTO Recruitment 2026 must be Indian nationals. They must also have the required educational qualification as mentioned in the official notification.
For the Telecom stream, candidates should have a Bachelor of Engineering degree or equivalent qualification from a Central Government, State Government-recognised institution or university in any of the prescribed disciplines. Eligible disciplines include Telecommunications, Electronics, Radio, Computer, Electrical, Information Technology and Instrumentation.
Candidates with M.Sc. Electronics or M.Sc. Computer Science are also eligible. The qualification must be completed on or before the closing date of the application.
BSNL JTO Age Limit 2026
For general candidates, the minimum age is 20 years and the maximum age is 30 years as of the closing date of the application. The upper age limit is relaxable as per Government of India rules.
The maximum age is 33 years for OBC-NCL candidates and 35 years for SC/ST candidates. For PwBD candidates, the maximum age limit is 40 years for Unreserved, EWS and OBC-CL candidates, 43 years for OBC-NCL candidates and 45 years for SC/ST candidates.
For BSNL employees, the maximum age limit is 35 years for Unreserved, EWS and OBC-CL, 38 years for OBC-NCL and 40 years for SC/ST. BSNL employees under PwBD category can get a maximum age limit of up to 50 years, depending on the category.
BSNL JTO Application Fee 2026
Candidates have to pay the application fee online only. The fee can be paid through internet banking, credit card or debit card on the recruitment portal.
For UR, OBC and EWS candidates, the examination fee is ₹2,000. For SC, ST and PwBD candidates, the fee is ₹1,000. The notification clearly states that the amount of fee shall not be accepted through any other mode and once paid, the fee will not be refunded under any circumstances.
