The notification prescribes 60% marks in both ITI/NTC and NAC for General/OBC candidates and 55% marks in both qualifications for SC/ST candidates. The percentages are to be satisfied separately rather than through an average of the two qualifications.

Candidates possessing only an ITI certificate without the required NAC should therefore not assume that they meet the notified qualification conditions.

Category Upper Age Limit
General/EWS 27 years
OBC (NCL) 30 years
SC/ST 32 years

The basic upper age limit is 27 years, with relaxation of three years for OBC (Non-Creamy Layer) and five years for SC/ST candidates.

  • Relevant work experience – relaxation of up to 7 years, subject to the conditions and proof prescribed by BHEL

Even after combining permissible relaxations, the notification places an overall upper-age ceiling of 56 years as on October 1, 2026.

Selected candidates will initially be engaged as Temporary Artisans for one year.

During this period, they will receive consolidated wages of: ₹24,000 per month

After successful completion of the temporary period, candidates will be regularised in the BHEL establishment as Artisan Grade IV, subject to applicable company rules.

The regular pay scale is: ₹29,500 – ₹65,000

Applicable allowances will be provided according to the rules in force at the time of regularisation.
